Some sabers and other curved blades I have been working on.
Variant of the mameluke-hilt style saber. Blade length 29" and width
1 1/8" at hilt. Overall length is 36" and weight is 2 1/4
lbs. Blade flex is 18 lbs and curve is 2" and balance point is 3
3/4" in front of hilt. The blade has a shallow wide fuller to reduce the
weight and give it some flex. Did this one up for my own use and while I
like it the lack of a larger guard can be a bit unnerving at times.
15th century falchion/saber. Blade length is 31 3/4" and width is 1
1/4" at hilt. Overall length is 37 1/2" and weight is 2 1/2
lbs. Does have some flex -- 26 lbs with a 2" or so deflection. Balance
point is 4 1/2" in front of the blade.
Another 15 century falchion/saber. Blade length is 31 1/2" and width
at guard is 1 1/8". Overall length is 38" and weight is 2 1/2
lbs. Again some flex -- 26 lbs with a 2" or so deflection. The
blade has a shallow wide fuller to reduce weight. Balance point is 3
1/2" in front of the blade. Something similar would be $280
